2. Description of Service

ShortZap.ai is a tool that uses AI to help generate and publish short-form videos for TikTok and YouTube. Our service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

3. User Accounts

To use ShortZap.ai, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use ShortZap.ai for any unlawful purpose or in any way that interrupts, damages, or impairs the service. You are solely responsible for the content you generate using our tool.

5. YouTube and TikTok API Services

ShortZap.ai uses API services provided by YouTube and TikTok to enable video publishing and related features.

By using our service, you expressly agree to be bound by:

• The YouTube Terms of Service and YouTube API Services Terms of Service
• The TikTok Terms of Service and TikTok Developer Terms
• The Google Privacy Policy and TikTok Privacy Policy

Our API usage includes:

• Uploading videos to your connected YouTube channel, or submitting videos to TikTok via the TikTok Content Posting API for publishing through TikTok's official publishing flow, which may require user interaction or confirmation within the TikTok app
• Accessing limited account data with your explicit authorization
• Temporarily storing platform-related data as described in our Privacy Policy

Scope and Restrictions:

• We only request the minimum necessary permissions (OAuth scopes) required to enable video publishing
• All actions performed via YouTube or TikTok APIs are initiated by you or performed on your explicit behalf
• We do not access unrelated data such as messages, followers, analytics, or browsing activity
• We do not sell or use platform data for advertising
• We do not perform automated engagement actions such as liking, commenting, following, or viewing content on TikTok or YouTube

Our use of YouTube API Services complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revocation:

You can revoke ShortZap.ai's access at any time:

• For YouTube: via your Google security settings page
• For TikTok: via your TikTok account settings under Settings and privacy → Manage app permissions (or tiktok.com/setting/connected-apps)
• Or by disconnecting your account in Settings → Connections

6. Compliance with Platform Policies

When using ShortZap.ai to publish videos to YouTube, TikTok, or any other platform, you agree to comply with all applicable terms, developer policies, and content guidelines of those platforms, including but not limited to the YouTube Community Guidelines, the TikTok Community Guidelines, and applicable copyright law. You specifically agree NOT to use ShortZap.ai to:

• Automate engagement (including likes, follows, comments, or views) on TikTok or YouTube
• Artificially inflate engagement metrics or manipulate platform algorithms
• Post content without user initiation or authorization
• Violate TikTok Developer Policies or platform integrity rules
• Upload spam, misleading, deceptive, or impersonating content
• Upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
• Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that incites violence
• Circumvent YouTube's or TikTok's API quotas, rate limits, or any technical or policy enforcement mechanisms
• Use the service in any way that would cause ShortZap.ai to violate the YouTube API Services Terms, YouTube Developer Policies, or TikTok Developer Terms

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these requirements, and to cooperate with platform operators investigating policy violations.

7. Data Storage and Retention

For YouTube and TikTok-related data:

• We temporarily store OAuth tokens, account identifiers, and upload metadata strictly required to provide publishing functionality
• Data is retained for a limited period (generally up to 30 days unless required otherwise)
• OAuth tokens are securely stored and deleted upon disconnection
• You can request deletion at any time via account settings

8. Intellectual Property

The content you create using ShortZap.ai belongs to you. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, render, encode, transmit, and deliver your content solely for the purpose of operating the service — including generating videos on your behalf and publishing them to the destinations you authorize (such as your YouTube channel or TikTok account). We claim no ownership over the videos you generate or upload, and the license terminates when you delete the content or your account, except where retention is required by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

ShortZap.ai is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes via email or through our website.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Where required by local law, you may have additional rights under the laws of your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your jurisdiction.
